BESTOF Money and gasoline
FYI - I’m currently off-grid at a lodge on a lake in a remote corner of Maine. I’ll be back in the saddle on Monday, August 20th. In the meantime, here’s a greatest hits post from the last year:
Money and gasoline
Let’s talk about money real quick
You don’t want money. Your clients don’t want money.
Nobody wants money!
People want what they believe money will get them.
Hoarding money would be just as weird as hoarding gasoline.
Imagine if I said:
“I have a million gallons of gasoline. I‘m never going to use it and I’m never going to sell it. I’m just going to keep it.”
That would be insane.
Now replace “gallons of gasoline” with “dollars”.
Still insane.
Hoarding money is like hoarding gasoline. If you have no intention of using it, what’s the point?
Money (like gas) is stored value. It has to be converted into something in order to release the value.
What’s my point?
Your ideal clients have money. Plenty of it. And they want to convert it into actual value.
Be the converter.
Yours,
—J
